Well, as Aussie Mat has said (and I hate to have to agree with an Aussie!!), the Casino isn't a copy of another brand's instrument. Might be worth trying to find a used Korean. Word of warning though: the new Chinese made Epis are apparently nowhere near as good as the Korean made ones. Play them both if you can and through the amp you use. They have a wonderful pedigree, but so does the 335. Paul McCartney is famous for saying that if he could only have one guitar it would be the Casino. I love mine and find it a very versatile guitar (blends beautifully with a Tele too). I've also never experienced feedback problems. But full hollow body and P-90s give the Casino a sound all its own. Guys who play loud often prefer the 335 or Dot or Sheraton because the big block of wood down the middle makes them less prone to feedback. It's a classic, it's not a copy of something else. This may be a small thing but the Dot is Epiphone's version of the 335. Sparkly and glassy-smooth clean jangle through to serious overdriven blues bite (think P-90 equipped Les Paul). I have a 2005 Korean-made Casino and I get more comments about its look and sound than I do with anything else. It's all personal and depends on what you're playing and what else you or your band has in the mix, but I'd still say Casino.
